Prevent Hearing Loss with PPE Signage

According to a recent study from WorkSafeBC, Canadian oil and gas workers in the drilling sector are showing an increase in job-related hearing loss. Data collected by oil and gas employers from 2012 to 2017 found that despite an increase in workers reporting they wear hearing protection, the percentage of workers with noise-induced hearing loss grew from 33% to 45%. Of those, 66% are reported being under 35 years old. Top 10 OSHA Violations 2018

Recently at the National Safety Council Expo in Houston TX, our neighbors to the south announced the top 10 cited violations to their OSHA standards. OSHA is the American equivalent of Canada's CCOHS and deals with many of the same standards and safety concerns. Patrick Kapust, OSHA's deputy director of Directorate of Enforcement Programs had this to say, "I encourage employers to look at this. These are frequently cited violations.
