Our Proven Process

From Concept to Completion: Our Proven Signage Process
A successful signage project requires more than quality materials and equipment. It requires a process that ensures every detail is considered, every specification is met, and every project is completed on time.
At Western Safety Sign, we've developed a proven process that guides every project from initial consultation through final delivery. By keeping key services in-house and maintaining clear communication every step of the way, we're able to provide reliable signage solutions for businesses, contractors, institutions, and organizations across Canada.
Step 1: Sales and Quoting
Every project begins with understanding your needs.
Our team takes the time to review your requirements, specifications, project scope, and timelines to ensure we're recommending the right solution from the start. Unlike many suppliers, we're not simply salespeople—we have real-world manufacturing experience and understand the practical considerations that go into producing effective signage.
Whether you're looking for a fully customized signage program or standard workplace safety signs, we can help identify the best solution for your application. For customers who know exactly what they need, our online store also makes it easy to order a wide range of standard products quickly and conveniently.
Step 2: In-House Design
Once project requirements are established, our design team gets to work.
We create designs based on your specifications and provide emailed shop drawings for review and approval. This ensures you have the opportunity to verify layouts, dimensions, colours, wording, and other critical details before production begins.
Clear communication during the design phase helps eliminate surprises and ensures the finished product matches your expectations. Production only begins once your approval has been received.
Step 3: Manufacturing
With approved drawings in hand, your project moves into production.
Because our manufacturing processes are performed in-house, we maintain greater control over quality, accuracy, and turnaround times. Our capabilities include printing, metal cutting, engraving, and tactile and braille signage production, allowing us to handle a wide range of projects under one roof.
We also maintain inventory of sign posts, stands, mounting hardware, and accessories, making it easier to provide complete signage solutions rather than just individual sign components.
By managing production internally, we can closely monitor quality throughout every stage of the manufacturing process.
Step 4: Completion and Delivery
Once production is complete, we make receiving your signage as convenient as possible.
Customers can pick up orders directly from our facility, or we can arrange delivery anywhere in Canada. For customers in our local service area, installation services are also available to help ensure signage is installed properly and ready for use.
Our goal is to make the final stage of your project just as seamless as the first.
Step 5: Continued Support
Our relationship with customers doesn't end when an order is delivered.
To simplify future orders, we retain project designs on file, making it easy to reorder existing signage or make updates as your needs evolve. For organizations with multiple locations, we can also develop custom product catalogs that streamline purchasing and help maintain consistent branding and signage standards across facilities.
This ongoing support helps customers save time, improve consistency, and ensure signage remains aligned with their operational requirements for years to come.
The Advantage of a Proven Process
When every stage of a project is supported by experienced professionals, clear communication, and in-house capabilities, the result is a smoother experience and a better finished product.
From initial consultation and design to manufacturing, delivery, and ongoing support, our proven process is built around one goal: helping customers get the right signage solution with confidence.
That's how we've built lasting relationships with customers across Canada—and it's the process we bring to every project we take on.
